  • “My talks with Chrisanna enlightened me as to why I used food to comfort me. My support has been wonderful! Thanks so much for all your help.”

  • I started to realize the benefits of Chrisanna’s counseling at the first session, and those benefits steadily increased throughout my time with her. It only took me a few months to complete my course of therapy – I was pleased and surprised as my impression is that people can end up in therapy for years, and with little improvement to show for their time and money.

  • Chrisanna basically fine-tuned my already good eating habits and I FINALLY started losing weight! She also set realistic goals for me and my age. In a very short time I attained my target weight and was able to “spread my wings and fly away” from her care.

  • I received not only some answers, but tools that I am using every day to continue to improve my life. I feel privileged to have had Chrisanna as my counselor – she has a broad array of expertise and experience, making her counseling even more comprehensive and valuable.

Held Close by an Angel by Chrisanna Harrington (Author)

Did you experience trauma in your childhood? Do you feel distant from God? Do you sometimes think you are not worthy of his love? In Held Close by an Angel, Chrisanna Harrington courageously reveals portions of her own personal struggle of recovery and reconciliation to help you learn self-acceptance and take responsibility for your role in past relationships as well as future relationships. Chrisanna merges traditional mental health concepts with orthodox Christian values and introduces concepts of the Inner and Adult Child. She explains how abuse and trauma experienced during childhood can carry into the Adult Child’s personality and social functioning by retaining feelings and beliefs experienced in childhood.
Stuart A. Stuthers MS, LMHC, NCC writes, “It can be a painful process for the adult survivor of childhood abuse to recognize and work through the long-term suffering that was experienced. Held Close by an Angel defines the characteristics of Adult Children and the steps to heal from the abuse suffered in childhood. Join Chrisanna as she helps you to understand what makes up a healthy relationship, and remember that God is with you at all times and is there to help you move forward through the pain experienced in this world.”

  • This little book answered many questions for me. Any adult who as a child was lonely and neglected should read this book. Also those who have been physically or emotionally abused will gain valuable insight into coping mechanisms.

  • This book will be recommended to others in my own private practice. It is written in a lovely , warm style by the author. Ms. Harrington’s inclusion of her own personal experience helps make this topic understood in a very personal way for the reader. I would recommend this book for anyone who has had, or presently has abuse in any part of their life.
